How to Set Up a GVO Auto-Responder

I recently created an e-mail campaign using GVO's E-Responder tool.? It works great, so I thought I'd share with you how to create a campaign of your own. 1.? First, log into your GVO account by clicking the GVO link at the top of your Acme back office.? If you're not yet a GVO subscriber, it's easy to join using the same link. 2. Once in your GVO account, click on the E-Responder Pro link on the left side of the page. 3. It's very important that you at least create your “opt in” message before you import subscribers into your e-mail list.? This is because once you import subscribers, they will immediately be sent your opt-in message, so you need to be sure that message is ready to go first. 4. Once in the E-Responder section, click on the “Messages” tab at the top, then click on the “Opt-In Message” link.? You can watch a short video there which explains in detail how to create your message.? The opt in message is basically your invitation to each of your potential subscribers inviting them to join your e-mail message list.? Be sure to personalize the message with your subscriber's name, etc.? No need to be wordy here…just be short, sweet, and inviting. 5.? Next, you can proceed with creating one or more follow-up emails.? From within the “Messages” tab, click on “Add Follow Up”.? Again, there's a video available to guide you through the process.? Note that you can specify when your follow up e-mails will be seen….i.e. one day after they subscribe, two days, etc.? I used this feature to create a separate e-mail for each distinct part of the Acme program I wanted to address….one for GDI, one for GVO, etc.? Each e-mail is automatically sent out on a different day.? This is helpful to your subscribers because it prevents bombarding them with too much information at one time, which could be very overwhelming to your new recruits. 6.? Once you at least have your opt in message ready, you can now import potential subscribers into your auto-responder.? Log into your Acme account and go to the “Referrals” link.? Scroll to the bottom of the list of your Acme signups and click on the link that says “Download this GVO-compatible file regularly”.? Save it to your computer harddrive.? Then go back to your GVO account and E-Responder Pro.? Click on the “Import/Export” tab at the top.? Click the “browse” button and find your downloaded APS file on your computer, then click “import”.? That's it!? Now, all of your APS referrals have been imported into your autoresponder and will automatically be sent your opt in message inviting them to subscribe to your e-mails.? 7.? Be sure to redo step 6 above regularly as you recruit new Acme members.? Although your downloaded APS file will include all of your cumulative Acme signups, any duplicates will be removed when you import the list to your autoresponder. The GVO autoresponder is a great way to keep in touch with your referrals and build a relationship with them.? ?Once they see how you're willing to help them along, they'll be much more likely to remain in the program and to recruit others (which will increase your earnings as well).? ?I strongly urge you to give this a try. Best wishes for success. -Lewis Syring
